PET RABBIT CARE
The Jersey Wooly Rabbit has become extremely popular, not only as a show animal, but as an exceptional pet!A very small bunny, an adult Jersey Wooly Rabbit will only weigh up to about three pounds. This little rabbit is noted for being extremely gentle. They are sweet and docile, as well as smart. The Jersey Wooly Rabbit likes people and affection. It enjoys companionship and being petted and handled. They are calm, quiet rabbits that are pretty easy to care for. All these great qualities make an ideal pet for children and adults alike. The Jersey Wooly Rabbit is also known as the Dwarf Angora Rabbit. Though its long fur makes it a bit more work than a short haired bunny, the Jersey Wooly enjoys being brushed. It only needs brushing about once a month as an adult. It will need just a bit more than that when it is young, until it looses its baby coat.

Description:
They are a small compact little rabbit, only weighing up
to about three pounds. They have short ears and a wonderful thick long
wool coat that is notable for being very easy to take care of, especially
after the rabbit reaches about six months. The adult coat has more guard
hair than undercoat, so is not prone to matting.
Color differences:
The Jersey Wooly Rabbits or Dwarf Angora Rabbits come in
a variety of colors and patterns including agouti (wild rabbit), self
(one color all over), and shaded patterns. Other nice colors include black,
blue, chocolate, smoke pearl, blue tort, chestnut, pointed white, siamese

| I'm very sorry but those pictures are NOT Jersey Woolies. They are also not known as Dwarf Angoras. The pictures shown are of Lionheads and mixed heritage rabbits. Please refer to Arba for correct pictures. Editor's note: As all the pictures were submitted separately by the owners of these Jersey Woolies, why don't you submit a picture of your Jersey Woolies for comparison. For a more immediate comparison, check out the Lionhead Rabbit page. The Lionhead has very long fur on its head - resembling a lion's mane. Some think the Jersey Wooly may have been used in its development, though not everyone concurs. The Lionhead is not yet a fully recognized breed by ARBA in the US, though it has been recognized since 2002 by the British Rabbit Council. The Jersey Wooly is known as the Dwarf Angora in Europe. The breed name, Jersey Wooly, is recognized by the ARBA in the US, but not the breed name Dwarf Angora.

Also when I flip her over and I sit her on my lap and she looks straight at me! She is the JOY in my life and she makes me SO happy when I'm sad or angry.

Whenever I come in to feed her, she just hops around and nudges my hand. Snowball is smart too, she knows how to open her cage and get out!(but she always comes back!) Snowball is a joy to have in my life and I am proud to say that she is mine!
